January 3-4

The lasts days in Cancun. It was a little cooler today, so we didn't do a lot of swimming. A lot of bar-lounging, kayaking in the lagoon, dininng and back to Chicago. Some rowdy spaniards kept us entertained for a while at the bar. Sofonias and Orlando kept us hydrated and fed well.

Evening of the 1st & January 2nd

We spent more delightful times in the Hotel. Access to the beach was sporadic, so we enjoyed being around the pool and the restaurants as well. More pictures here

New Year's Day

Glorious day! Jonathan woke up feeling better. We spent all day outside. They have been repairing the beach since we got here. Yesterday we had to walk to the hotel next door to enjoy the ocean. Today a small are was open in front of our hotel. Alex & Nickolas were not too interested in the sunshine since they got too much of it. Mary, Jonathan, Christopher & I rode the waves. December 30-31 2009

We enjoyed the last two days of the year. Jonathan got sick. We didn't have a great new year eve's party because of it. Jonathan spent most of Dec. 31st in bed but we waited for midnigth in our room. Pictures here

Trip to Tulum

Alexander and I decided to see the Mayan ruins of Tulum. It was suppossed to be a half day trip but we didn't get back until 3:00 PM. It was nice. See some pictures here

Leaving Chicago & First Day in Cancun

The trip was great. The boys behaved wonderfully. It's amazing how we can be in Chicago in the morning and in a warm swimmimng pool in the afternoon.
